在这部等到永远剧情/爱情片中,Emma（蕾切尔·比尔森 Rachel Bilson饰）和 Will（汤姆·斯图里奇 Tom Sturridge 饰）从小就是好朋友，但自从Emma离开家乡后，两人就再也没联系过。Emma后来成了一个演员，因为父亲病重的缘故回到了家乡。Emma都快忘记了Will，然而多年来Will却一直爱着Emma，并跟着Emma，一路上也没有工作，而是在路边表演戏法养活自己。Emma和Will见面了，她知道了Will一直以来对她的跟踪，让Will别再做这种事情了。Emma还向Will透露她对男友的背叛，她和另外一个男人偷情。后来，Emma的男朋友杀死了和Emma偷情的男人，同时也发现了Will一直跟踪Emma的事情，就把一切嫁祸到Will身上，Will只能接受警方调查。到底最后Will能否和他深爱的Emma在一起呢？
