While fireside, Jeffrey sees a disturbing vision of his daughter, Ingrid, dancing in the woodlands with the Devil. When his wife (Constance) inquires to what is troubling him, Jeffrey reluctantly tells her knowing full well the consequences... Ingrid will have to pay for her sins, with her life.\n\nAfter witnessing his daughter burn at the stake, a grieving Jeffrey encounters the Devil who reveals that he has tricked Jeffrey and that Ingrid was innocent all along. Man's own vindictive want for purity is the only evil.
