Young Nitcha and her old servant are penniless and walk aimlessly in the streets of Nice. René Dauterive notice them. Charmed by Nitcha, he decides to take them home. The old servant thinks he recognizes the young girl's father in the face of René so he does his best to stop the romance. Thankfully, they find the real father.
