在这部心理医生剧情片中,故事发生在位于东京的一家精神科诊所之中，坐镇其中的是一位名叫恭介（竹野内丰 饰）的年轻医生，对于自己的职业，恭介有着独到的见解，他不将前来就诊的病人们当做患者，也不希望病人们将自己当做医生。
一天，一位名叫浅井智子（柴崎幸 饰）的美丽女子走进了恭介的诊所，智子患有严重的恐高症，就因为这恼人的恐高症，导致智子无法在高楼林立的东京找到工作。很快，恭介就开始了对智子的治疗，可是，一直暗恋恭介的女医生三七子（羽田美智子 饰）却对恭介的治疗方案抱有怀疑的态度。一段时间的治疗之后，智子再度踏上了求职之路，就此，她认识了伊贽董事长（内藤刚志 饰），然而，智子很快就发现，伊贽和恭介之间，似乎有着某些不小的过节。
