The whole series (so far about 32 episodes) is based on the first series of the Deltora Quest novels where Lief a blacksmiths' son, Barda former leader of the palace guards and Jasmine a wild child of the forests of silence go to look for the 7 gems (diamond, emerald, lapis lazuli, topaz,opal,ruby and amethyst) to get rid of the horrible reign of the Shadow Lord and put Deltora's true heir on the throne.
